Assault
Alex Grant of Sandill Drive reported being stabbed in the back Saturday morning, investigators with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said. Grant reported that four men came up to his home in a Toyota Camry and blew the horn repeatedly. Grant told deputies that he shouted to the men to stop blowing the horn. Grant said a subject he knows hit him in the back with an unknown object, deputies said. After the subjects left, Grant felt pain in his back and found blood, deputies said.
Thefts
*Ray Junius Williams, 78, reported that $2,370 in car parts and other valuables stolen from his home on Saturday, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said.
*Sylvia Pilkington of N.C. 111 South reported Saturday that two air conditioners, a window unit and an outdoor unit worth $4,100, were stolen from her property, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said.
Charges
The Wayne County Sheriff's Department reported these charges:
*Lendell Woodrow Brinson, 49, East Elm Street, failure to pay child support, $5,000 bond.
*Tony Oliver, 33, Annie's Avenue, Dudley, resist delay or obstruct, $500 bond.
*Cynthia Carraway Whitfield, 41, Gainey Drive, Dudley, resist delay or obstruct, $1,000 bond.
*Ricardo Devon Whitfield, 21, Gainey Drive, Dudley, resist delay or obstruct, $1,000 bond.
*Joseph Paul Boyette, 19, felonious larceny, possess stolen goods, $10,000 bond.
*Christopher Paul Mewborn, 22, Alton Phillips Road, Kinston, assault on female, $800 bond.
