Wallace art show, train depot grand opening

WALLACE -- On Saturday, Nov. 3, the historic train depot in downtown Wallace will be transformed.
More than a dozen of the area's finest artists will be on hand to showcase their creations.
On display will be paintings, sculptures, photography, original hand-crafted jewelry, functional and decorative pottery, ceramics and more.
Visitors can also enjoy the refurbished and historic train station.
The Stone Leaf Cafe will be offering a lunch menu and beverages will be available.
The show is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is free to the public.
The show is sponsored by the newly formed Longleaf Arts and Crafts Guild, celebrates and brings together independent craftspeople and artists for the purpose of marketing, conservation, and education. The Longleaf Arts and Crafts Guild is open to artists and craftspeople who reside in Duplin, New Hanover, Jones, Wayne, Onslow, Pender, Sampson and Lenoir counties.
The depot, renovated through the efforts of the Wallace Revitalization Association, will have its grand opening on Sunday, Nov. 11, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. It is located in downtown Wallace at 206 SW Railroad St.
