Copper theft attempt
Sybil Scott, owner of Scott's Barbecue and Sauce Co. on North William Street, told police that a thief who tried to steal the copper wiring from the business's air conditioning system last week did about $1,100 in damages. All the refrigerant was lost, according to a police report.
