Wayne County Board of Elections Precinct Assistant Steve Meadows hands a ballot to Sue Ballenger at the WAGES building on Royall Avenue as she and her husband, Paul, prepare to vote in today’s primary municipal election. As of 8:45 a.m., election officials said that only 110 people have voted in the primary this morning. “Things are going slow right now,” Board of Elections Interim Director Erin Burridge said. “From what I hear throughout the county, they are ‘onesies’ and ‘twosies’ so far this morning.” Primary election results will be totaled after voting ends at 7:30 p.m. The only contested races are for mayor and the District 3 seat on the City Council.
