In Tuesday's News-Argus, Steve Johnson, the father of deployed Dudley soldier Joseph Johnson was quoted as saying, "They say Sadr City is to Baghdad what Green Acres is to Goldsboro ...."

Those words, he said, were in no way intended to compare Goldsboro to a war zone. Rather, it was an attempt to give people an idea of where Joseph is stationed in relationship to the Baghdad most people see on TV news.

Johnson added that he regrets that some people took his words the wrong way, and he added that he would like to thank all those who are praying for his son's safe return from war.
