A statewide public health campaign to encourage people to get tested for HIV will be coming to Wayne County on Friday evening.
The free event, "Get Real, Get Tested," will be held Friday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Hispanic Community Development Center on Potts Road in Dudley. It is primarily to test people who have never been tested, identity those living with HIV/AIDS who need care, and to provide HIV and AIDS prevention and education for the public.
Several local agencies are co-sponsoring the event -- the Health Department, the Hispanic Community Development Center, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Goshen Medical Center and Circle of Friends.
