Three people were killed shortly after 6 p.m. in a one-vehicle accident on N.C. 111 South near its intersection with N.C. 903 in the Albertson community of Duplin County. Eight people were in the pickup, with five riding in the open back. The identites of the victims were not available from the state Highway Patrol as of press time today. Three people were listed in critical condition at hospitals in Duplin and Pitt counties.
