Man shot
A Clayton resident told Goldsboro police his uncle was shot in a city parking lot Sunday. Samuel Devon Lee said he was waiting in a parking lot on George Street when a man pulled a rifle on his uncle, Robert Lee, and shot him.
The victim was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital by Wayne County emergency services. Hospital officials could not provide information on his condition by presstime today.
Bike stolen
A Wayne County resident told Goldsboro police that someone stole her bicycle Sunday. The red bike, worth $200, was stolen from Pamela Moody's home on Rosewood Road.
Gas drive-offs
Several gas stations reported people driving off without paying for gasoline over the weekend. Employees at the Savemore on Ash Street said a black woman in a white Jeep stole $57 in gasoline from the store Sunday. Employees at the Hasty Mart on Spence Avenue told police that a man in a burgundy car drove off after pumping $18 worth of gas. Employees at the Handy Mart on U.S. 70 West told police that a woman put $27.32 worth of gas in her blue car and drove away without paying.
