Someone set fire to a Chevrolet and left it in the woods in the 800 block of Greenfield Cemetery Road.
Thefts
*Eloise Edwards reported someone knocked on her door in the 2100 block of William Street and asked to use the telephone. She let the man in and stepped outside of the room to give him some privacy. When she came back inside, she found the man in her bedroom searching through her belongings. When he spotted her, he left. The 76-year-old victim was unsure if anything had been taken.
*Michael Allen Hill reported someone stole his 1998 Yamaha dirt bike from his home in the 3900 block of Central Heights Road.
*Teneisha L. Courtney reported someone broke into her home in the 200 block of Forest Knolls Road and stole a JVC camcorder, a diary and two purses, all valued at $375. Damage was set at $500.
*Wanda Anderson Kearney reported someone stole an air compressor and chainsaw, all valued at $350, from her home in the 400 block of Airport Road, Pikeville,
*Katrina Latrice Artis reported someone stole her child support checks, valued at $245.24, from her mailbox in the 100 block of Mary Lane.
*Angela D. Bass reported someone broke into her home in the 100 block of Sandra Lane and stole a 52-inch wide screen television, a Sony PlayStation 2, video games, all valued at $3,410.
*Kewanna Chenelle McKinzie reported someone broke into her home in the 200 block of Dewey Street and stole $600 and soft drinks.
