Investigations
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating these reports:
*Tammy Summerlin Williford of Big Daddy Road, Pikeville, told detectives around 9 p.m. Thursday that somebody shot her dog at a residence on West Old Fort Road. The dog, valued at $250, was last secured at 8:10 p.m. The injury was discovered five minutes later.
*A break-in was reported Thursday night at the home of Danny Andray Williams on Gary Lane. Items missing included a massage chair and a camcorder with stand, both valued at $1,000. Damage done to the window to gain entry came to $100.
*Somebody shot into the home of Martin Gaspar Chay-Garcia on Spring Bank Road around 6:30 p.m. Thursday. He reported $100 worth of damage done to the back wall to his trailer.
Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:
*Tamika Lidell Perry of Koonce Street told police somebody she knows used her name and social security number to obtain cable service at a residence in the city. She said there is now an outstanding balance of $269 at the cable company office.
*Detectives are investigating the larceny of a motor vehicle and cell phone from the Carolina Motel at 2316 N. William St. Gary Scott Becton of U.S. 70 West said he fell asleep among numerous people he did not know, and when he awoke, his car and cell phone were missing. He said he went to a party in the motel room with several other people. Others were there when they arrived. He told police he had been drinking earlier, and he fell asleep. The items were last secure at 1 a.m. Thursday and were discovered missing at 7:15 a.m. The car, described as a black 1995 Chevrolet Suburban Sport Utility Vehicle, was valued at $5,000. The cell phone was valued at $50. Becton said the vehicle can be identified by a scratch along the right side from fender to fender.
*There was a break-in at the home of Patrick Gates on South Taylor Street. The report was made at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. The items, including a shotgun, two rifles and a BB gun with bullets, were last secured at 7:30 a.m. the same day and were valued at $1,140. To gain entry, glass was broken on the south side door. Damage was $100.
Charges
Wayne County and Goldsboro law enforcement officers filed these charges:
*Rachel Michelle Millard, 17, Grand Street, Pikeville, misdemeanor larceny, custody release.
*Rodney Lamont Lovely, 33, Wilson, felony obtaining property by false pretense, $1,000 bond.
