Break-ins
Two homes were broken into on the 2100 block of Koonce Street some time Monday afternoon. Charlonda Brown, 31, told Goldsboro police officers that someone broke through the doorway of her home causing $100 in damages and stole about $1,000 in computer equipment. The stolen items include a $500 IBM laptop, a $150 Hewlett Packard printer and copier machine, a $100 wireless Internet card and a computer bag containing a flash card valued at $200. Ms. Brown told police officers she believed the incident occurred while she was working between 1:30 and 6:15 p.m.
A nearby neighbor, 33-year-old Christina Ingram, also reported a break-in at her home between 7:15 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Ms. Ingram told police officers that someone stole an $89 Magnavox DVD-VCR player, a $265 RCA surround sound system, a PlayStation 2 valued at $110 and about 80 PlayStation 2 games valued at more than $3,000.
Stolen ATVs
Someone broke into a camper on Bryan Boulevard at Busco Beach between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday, stealing two four-wheelers and other valuables. Holt Daniel, 35, told Wayne County Sheriff's deputies that someone stole his red 2005 Kawasaki four-wheeler worth $7,500 and another red Kawasaki four-wheeler valued at $3,500. Daniel also reported that his 14-karat gold class ring worth $400 and $100 in change was taken from the camper.
