Investigations
Wayne County and Goldsboro authorities are investigating these reports:
*Steven Eastman, 52, Biltmore Drive, told Goldsboro police that someone cut his lock and stole his gray and black scooter, valued at $1,500, from the Western Sizzlin' parking lot at 100 N. Berkeley Blvd.
*A store manager at Cato's, 625 N. Berkeley Blvd., reported to police that an employee stole $1,333.67 from the business by cashing in fake returns.
*Eric Keith Bullard told police that someone broke into his blue 1986 Chevrolet Blazer and stole his CD player, his Sirius satellite radio and radio equipment, all valued at $400, while parked in the 500 block of North Pineview Ave.
*Someone cut the gate open to Bartlett Milling Co. and stole a propane cylinder and damaged the cylinder holder, all valued at $1,100. The suspect was later caught and jailed by a Goldsboro police officer and the stolen property was recovered, according to the police.
*Nicole B. Washington told Wayne County sheriff's deputies that someone broke into her home in the 600 block of Charlie Braswell Road and stole a 40-inch Plasma television, surround sound system, DVD player and two Hip Hop Abs DVD, all valued at $2,605.
*Someone set fire to a Nissan on Wednesday on Old Mount Olive Highway and Parker Road. The fire was ruled suspicious.
