Johnston Democratic officers elected

SMITHFIELD -- The Democratic Women of Johnston County held their April meeting jointly with the Johnston County Democratic Party Annual Convention at the Johnston County Courthouse on April 19.
New officers were elected: Sarah Anderson, president; Dr. Carolyn Ennis, first vice president; Sharon Castleberry, second vice president; Sharon Griffin, third vice president; Marie Dodson, recording secretary; Nancy Faber, corresponding secretary; and Pat Anthony, treasurer.
The group will meet May 17 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church fellowship hall on South Second Street in Smithfield. A potluck dinner and cake auction will begin at 6:30 p.m.
