All-County Band concert Thursday night at Dillard

More than 100 of Wayne County Public Schools' top band students will participate in the 2007 All-County Band Festival on Thursday evening at Dillard Middle School. Accomplished professionals will direct the talented group of middle and high school students.
The annual event begins at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the public. Officials called it an excellent opportunity to showcase students' musical talents.
Two guest conductors will direct the middle and high school bands.
Ana Bulluck, band instructor at E.B. Aycock Middle School in Greenville, will conduct the middle school band. From 2001-2006, she taught at a Tucker Creek Middle School in Havelock, North Carolina, receiving superior ratings at the North Carolina Concert Band Festival and first place awards at various competitions. Her students have been consistently selected to participate in All-District and All-State Bands.
John Lowe, director of bands at Clinton High School, will direct the high school symphonic band. In his 14th year of teaching, he is president-elect for the Southeastern District of Band Directors Association.
