Shootings
*Stephanie Barnes, 44, of Chestnut Street, told Goldsboro police that someone shot her in the leg behind a building in the 1800 block of Courtyard Circle at about 10:15 p.m. Saturday.
*A fight at Teaser's adult nightclub at 2:50 a.m. Saturday ended in a hail of bullets when someone fired a rifle in the parking lot, damaging three employees' vehicles. Bullets struck a 2003 Ford Focus owned by MJ Thomas III, of Fourth Street; a 2001 Dodge Caravan owned by Eve Pfeifer Harris, of Whitfield Drive; and a 2000 Land Rover, according to Goldsboro police. Damage was set at $500.
*Someone sprayed the Waffle House parking lot on Wayne Memorial Drive with bullets at 3:15 a.m. Saturday, damaging an unspecified number of vehicles and the building, Goldsboro police said. No injuries were reported.
Stabbings
*Stephanie Antionette Rhue, 20, of Noble St., a former dancer at Teaser's adult nightclub told Goldsboro police that another dancer stabbed her in the upper right arm at about 3 a.m. Saturday. Ms. Rhue was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries.
*Loyd Daniel Holt, 35, of Busco Beach, Lot 9, told Wayne County sheriff's deputies Sunday that someone he knew cut him on his left wrist with a knife at the recreational facility. Holt was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Break-ins
James Preston Daly reported Saturday someone broke into his home in the 100 block of Dallas Road and stole $6,500 cash.
Fires
*Units of the Rosewood, Little River and Oakland volunteer fire departments responded to a vacant mobile home fire at 122 Mary Lane at 12:16 a.m. Sunday. Fire officials declined to release any information about the fire today. The fire was ruled an electrical fire, Wayne County sheriff's Maj. George Raecher said.
*Units of the Kenly, Crossroads and Polly Watson volunteer fire departments responded to a structure fire at Kenly Village Apartments on West First Street at about 3:57 p.m. Sunday. The resident Cassie Hinnant, was alerted by an alarm and escaped uninjured. A damage estimate was unavailable.
*Units of the Goldsboro Fire Department responded to an apartment fire at 902-B Fairview Circle at 7:39 p.m. Sunday. The fire started from an electrical short in a window unit-style air conditioner, Assistant Fire Chief Gary Whaley said. Earneshia Lewis and her daughter lived at the home, but they were not at home when the fire started. The fire started in the living room and caused smoke damage throughout the house and fire damage to the first floor, Whaley said. The fire was contained to the unit. No injuries were reported. The fire caused about $14,000 in damage.
