April 30 is the deadline for vendors and information booth sign-ups for the Cinco de Mayo Festival and health fair set for May 5 at the Waynesborough Historical Village.

The festival will be from noon until 5 p.m. and will be sponsored by the Hispanic Community Development Center.

Doug Henry Pontiac GMC will sponsor a car show. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Judging will be at 1:30 p.m., and trophies will be presented at 3 p.m.

The event will feature live Latin music, food, games for children and adults, dance performances, demonstrations from the Goldsboro High School's Junior ROTC Drill Team, a martial arts demonstration, AGAPE puppet show from Whitley Church, information booths in English and in Spanish and the health screening booths and food and other items for sale.

Organizers say 35 medical, health, legal and community organizations have signed up to perform various types of screenings and presentations.
