MOUNT OLIVE -- Partners for Habitat in Mount Olive will sponsor an informational meeting April 12 at 6 p.m. in the Mount Olive Senior Center Building, 711 Northwest Center St., Mount Olive.
Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne and Partners for Habitat in Mount Olive have been working together to build two houses for low-income families. The Partners group also has agreed to seek funding to build two more houses in the Mount Olive community and host the informational meeting.
Those who qualify for a Habitat house earn an annual income that falls between 30 and 60 percent of the average median income in Wayne County. Habitat homeowners have a workable credit history and pay a 20-year mortgage with no interest.
