MOUNT OLIVE -- The Mount Olive College Concert Choir will present its spring concert April 13 at 8 p.m. in the Southern Bank Auditorium in W. Burkette and Rose M. Raper Hall. This year's program will feature "The Creation" by Franz Joseph Haydn with soloists and orchestra.

The oratorio depicts the Bible's six days of creation. Haydn dramatically portrays each event using musical instruments, such as flutes used to portray birds and small fish. Between the narratives reciting the story, choral and solo pieces comment on each day's work.

Soloists from the area include Yolanda Henderson of Snow Hill, Brandi Holloman of Mount Olive and Dr. Brian Watson of Goldsboro.

Seating is limited. A $5 admission will be collected at the door.
