Garden dedication at library

The Wayne County Public Library will hold a blessing of the garden ceremony prior to planting the second crop of flowers and vegetables Saturday in dedication of the Wayne Community Garden.
The garden is located behind the library's main branch on Ash Street. The ceremony begins at noon, with gardeners of all ages and nationalities dressed for garden work.
Children's Librarian Shorlette Stephens said the first gardening season was a success because of the many volunteers who came and helped work in the garden, and she looks forward to the upcoming season.
