Investigations

Wayne County sheriff's deputies are investigating these reports:

*Ernest Woodley Triplett reported Feb. 21 that a man pulled a woman out of his car. When he went to see about the woman, the man jumped behind the wheel of his red 1990 Chevrolet Cavalier and drove off. The car was valued at $500.

*Felix Lamont Gurley, owner of Thrills on Wheels Scooters, U.S. 70 West, Princeton, reported Feb. 16 that someone broke into his tan GMC Sierra pickup truck and stole $8,000 cash. No suspects have been identified in the case.

*Donna Grady Thomas reported Feb. 21 someone broke into her home in the 700 block of Mill Road, Mount Olive, and stole a desktop computer, jewelry, shotgun, rifle, microwave, $150 in change and other items, all valued at $2,211. Damage was set at $100.

*Sheka Marie Warner reported Feb. 21 someone broke into her home in the 100 block of Mary Lane and stole a laptop computer, valued at $1,200. Damage was set at $50.

Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:

*Pamela Best reported Feb. 22 someone she knew struck her in the head with a bottle during an argument in the 800 block of Newsome Street. The 43-year-old received minor facial cuts.

*Patricia Williams, 57, of Quail Drive, reported Friday that someone broke into her home and stole more than $500 in electronic equipment.

*Michael Crawford, of William Street, told police someone broke into his home Friday and stole more than $1,000 in goods -- a television, DVD player, stereo system and more.
