Mount Olive teacher to visit Costa Rica

A Mount Olive Middle School teacher will be one of two in North Carolina chosen to travel to Costa Rica next month as part of the Toyota International Teacher Program.
Art teacher Karen Helms will receive the fully-funded trip to study the diversity of the nation's people and ecosystems in an effort to inspire the creative teaching of international, cultural and environmental themes.
Twenty secondary school teachers, grades 7-12, from across the country will participate in the program March 8-20.
