Investigations
The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating the following reports:
*Edwin Marvin Jewell of Glenwood Trail said someone used his credit card number and ran up a $2,188 bill by making several purchases between Friday and Monday.
*Sheila Renee Moore of Creedmore told police that someone stole her identity to cash a check at Friendly Check Cashing at 408 E. Ash St.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating these reports:
*Someone stole a visa card to get cash at the Kwick Mart 107 at 2775 U.S. 117 S., in Dudley some time after 3:38 a.m. Wednesday morning and before 7:40 p.m. the same day. The machine was used nine times, and $873 was withdrawn altogether.
*A break-in at the home of Woodrow Smith Jr. on Warrick Road in Dudley netted thieves $1,310 worth of items including a CD player, a DVD player and 30 DVDs, clothing and jewelry. The thieves did $150 damage to a front door to gain entry.
