Wayne County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating these reports:
*A Wayne County man is recovering from a gunshot wound he received when an unknown assailant pelted his mobile home with bullets early Monday. Larry Donnell Hagans, 43, of Heather Ann Lane, was shot in the leg during the barrage. Hagans was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released. At least shell casings from an unidentified firearm were found outside the home, Wayne County sheriff's Detective Richard Winders said. Two other people who were inside the home were not injured. Damage to Hagan's SUV, his refrigerator and his mobile home was estimated at $2,525.
*Deputies arrested a Missouri woman accused of impersonating a police officer and stealing gas from local store. Kimberly Kaye Roster, 42, of Mo. 38, was charged with impersonating an officer and larceny of gas after she allegedly pumped $24.50 gas at the Arrington Mart on Bill Lane Boulevard and left without paying. Ms. Roster was placed under $1,000 bond.
*Deputies charged a man accused of burglarizing a home in Pikeville last week. Detective Sgt. Carl Lancaster charged David Jacob Lambert, 20, of Herring Road, Dudley, with first-degree burglary and failure to appear for probation violation. Lambert was charged in connection with a home invasion that happened in the 500 block of Vail Road, Jan. 3. Money and credit cards were stolen. Lambert was arrested by Morehead City police Jan. 4 and he was brought back to Wayne County to answer the burglary charge and another breaking and entering charge. He was being held in the Wayne County Jail under $48,000 bond.
*The Goldsboro-Wayne County Drug Squad logged another arrest in connection with a drug roundup held in September. Lorenzo Trinelli Davis, 24, Outlaw Road, Dudley, was charged with possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana and sell of marijuana. Davis was released under a $15,000 bond. Twenty-nine people have been arrested in connection with the investigation. Paul A. Stover, Christopher A. Tann and Michael Carl Collier remain at large for various drug charges originating from the undercover sting. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 735-2255, drug squad co-commander Lt. Tom Effler said. Callers shall remain anonymous and could receive up to a $1,000 cash if their information leads to a felony arrest.
*Someone kicked in the rear storage door at Belfast Quick Mart on U.S. 117 North on Monday,causing $500 in damages.
*Vernon Ray Cook reported that a burglar attempted to enter his home in the 100 block of Artis Road through the garage door over the weekend. Damage was set at $600.
