The Goldsboro Boy and Girl Choir will kick off its third season with a concert, the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols for Christmas. The show will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church at the corner of James and Mulberry streets.
There is no charge for attendance, although a $5 donation is welcome.
Featured on the program will be traditional Christmas carols, as well as new carols from around the world.
"We always try to include a piece or two from a different culture and in a different language," said choir director Paul Cunningham.
The choir brings together auditioned students from across Wayne County. Members must commit to a regular schedule of weekly rehearsals.
