Santa's workshop in Smithfield

SMITHFIELD -- Santa Claus, with the help of the downtown merchants of Smithfield, has set up a temporary workshop over the next several weeks to give area children to let him know what their special Christmas wishes are.
The shop will be located at 107 S. Third Street, formerly Creech's Pharmacy.
The workshop will be open, starting Friday.
Dates and times are listed below:
*Friday, Dec. 1, 4-6 p.m.
*Saturday, Dec. 2, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
*Thursday, Dec. 7, 4-6 p.m.
*Friday, Dec. 8, 4- 6 p.m.
*Saturday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
*Thursday, Dec. 14, 4-6 p.m.
*Friday, Dec. 15, 4 pm - 6 p.m.
*Saturday, Dec. 16, 10 a.m.-12:30
*Thursday, Dec. 21, 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.p.m., with free carriage rides with Santa.
*Friday, Dec. 22, 4- 6 p.m.
Parents are encouraged to bring their camera to take photos at no cost.
