Don't forget to vote!
The Goldsboro News-Argus is accepting votes for the Seven New Wonders of the World. People who would like to select their favorite "wonder" can call 739-7835 by Sunday night and leave their vote on the voice mail.
The 21 nominees are: Acropolis, Greece; Alhambra, Spain; Angkor, Cambodia; Christ Redeemer Statue, Brazil; Colosseum, Italy; Easter Island, Chile; and the Eiffel Tower, France.
Also, the Great Wall of China, Hagia Sophia, Turkey; Kiyomizu Temple, Japan; Kremlin and St. Basil's Cathedral, Russia; Machu Picchu, Peru; Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany; and Petra, Jordan.
Pyramid at Chichen Itza, Mexico; Pyramids of Giza, Egypt; Statue of Liberty, New York; Stonehenge, Britain; Sydney Opera House, Australia; Taj Mahal, India; and Timbuktu, Mali.
The seven places that get the most votes will be announced in the Dec. 10 Features Section of the Goldsboro News-Argus.
