The Partnership for Children of Wayne County has scheduled two prenatal education options for expecting parents.

A one-day "Growing Pains" session is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Information will be provided on prenatal nutrition; labor, delivery and recovery; breastfeeding and basic infant care; finding quality child care; and parent resources.

A six-week series of evening classes for expecting parents will begin in mid-January. The series will be conducted by trained professionals and will include more in-depth presentations and a tour of the hospital birthing facility. All classes are offered at no charge, and mothers are encouraged to bring fathers or other support persons.

The classes will be held at the Partnership for Children Office, 800 N. William St. For more information or to register, contact Patty Huffman at 735-3371, ext. 223. Space is limited and early registration is encouraged.
