Investigations

The following incidents are being investigated by Wayne County law enforcement:

*Jimmy Brinson, of Dudley, reported a break-in to Goldsboro police officers Wednesday. He told officials that when he came out of a night club and walked up to his car, he found a person in the back attempting to steal $1,000 in stereo equipment.

*Laura Beth Beauman of Seven Springs told Sheriff's Office investigators that she was assaulted by a man she knows, who hit her in the face with his fist.

*Tammy Ray of Edgerton Street told Goldsboro police she was assaulted. She alleges she went out of her residence because she heard a great deal of traffic and that when she got outside and confronted the man holding traffic up, he hit her in the head and she was knocked unconscious, she said. No further information was available.

*Employees at the Target on Sunburst Drive told Goldsboro police officers Tuesday that they watched two men steal more than $100 in CDs from the store. No descriptions were available.

*Allen Massengill of Cashwell Drive told Goldsboro police officers he was assaulted Tuesday in the parking lot outside Cameron's Clubhouse on Ash Street. He did not know his attacker, he said.
