Wayne County sheriff's deputies are investigating these reports:

*Wayne County sheriff's deputies arrested a man allegedly responsible for breaking into a property in the Rosewood area. Deputies received a report regarding the alleged theft on Oct. 26. The suspect allegedly stole $5,790 in property. Christopher Deander Robinson, 18, of E. Slocumb Street, Mount Olive, was charged with breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods in connection with the crime. Bond was set at $25,000. More arrests are pending, Wayne County Detective Sgt. Rick Farfour said.

*A 42-year-old Goldsboro woman reported a man she knew sexually assaulted her at his home. She stabbed the man in the hand with a knife during the sexual assault and left the home.

*Andrew J. Sherman reported he accidentally shot himself in the left foot with a .22-caliber handgun Saturday while attempting to kill a snake. Sherman, 30, of Sand Hill Drive, Dudley, was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment. At the hospital, Sherman admitted to shooting himself intentionally.

Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:

*Bobby Earl Clayton reported Sunday that a stranger assaulted him in his apartment on Oakwood Street, knocking him unconscious, and stole a 32-inch television set, DVD player and cell phone, all valued at $750.

*Sherry Wooten reported Saturday that someone set fire to her Mazda MX3 causing more than $1,200 in damage to the interior. Wooten works for Wayne County Social Services.

Accident

An 18-year-old passenger was injured during a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 117 north and U.S. 117 bypass Saturday about 11:30 p.m. Maria Suarez Perez, 32, of Sand Hill Drive, Dudley, was the driver of one vehicle and Christopher Michael Barletter was the driver of the second. Barletter's passenger, April Renee Lucas of Langley-Daniels Road, Kenly, was injured. Lucas was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital. Perez was cited for no operator's license and running a red light and Barletter was cited for open container violation. Damages were set at $27,000.
