The Salvation Army "Stuff-a-Stocking" program is under way and the public is invited to participate in this year's Christmas event.
More than 1,000 stockings are available to be stuffed with goodies for the holidays that will be distributed to needy children in the community.
Individuals and groups can obtain as many stockings as can be filled and returned by Dec. 6.
The stockings, a highlight of the Salvation Army's Toy Shop, will be ready for pick-up on Wednesday at the Salvation Army building, 610 N. William Street.
