Investigations
Wayne County sheriff's deputies are investigating these reports:
*Ubaldo Sanchez reported someone fired a gunshot into his home in the 600 block of Sanderson Road in Seven Springs about 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:
*Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred in the 500 block of South Slocumb Street about 4 a.m. today.
Andre Wallace, 28, Cranford Street, told police he was standing on Slocumb Street, when a white Ford Taurus drove-by. Someone leaned out of the car, aimed a rifle at him and fired. Wallace was shot in both legs. Wallace was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital. His injuries did not appear life threatening, police said.
*A Goldsboro man faces charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a child earlier this month.
Julius Anthony Wilkerson, 21, of Virginia Street, was charged with taking indecent liberties with a child under 16. He was also charged with an attempted second-degree sexual offense. He was being held in the Wayne Countyjail under $100,000 bond.
