Duplin landfill fees waived

KENANSVILLE -- Duplin commissioners will waive the tipping fees for the county's third annual Clean Up Day on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday. County officials said they took in 66 tons at the landfill during Clean Up Day.
The county will also hold another Ugly Furniture contest, with first place prize $100 and $50 for the second place winner. And county residents will be able to bring tires to the landfill on Landfill Road between Kenansville and Rose Hill.
