Wayne County Grand Jury returns multiple charges for sex offenses

A 41-year-old man was indicted by the Wayne County Grand Jury with 10 felony counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Thomas Edward Anderson of Goldleaf Drive was one of 83 other people indicted by the grand jury during its monthly meeting.
Other sexual indictments included Howard Sandres, 34, of Phillip Court, who was indicted on two counts of second-degree rape, two counts of second-degree sexual offense and one count of first-degree kidnapping. The Wayne County Sheriff's Office charged Sandres with felony second-degree rape in connection with a crime authorities believe occurred at his home.
Also, 30-year-old Roderic Brady Thompson of New Hope Road was indicted on six counts each of indecent liberties and lewd and lascivious acts and one count of first-degree statutory sexual offense.
Thompson was originally charged by the sheriff's office with a first-degree sex offense with a child after authorities received a report last December about the sexual assault of three children that occurred more than two years ago.
Andre Monterio Todd, 18, of Myrtle Place in Dudley was indicted by the Grand Jury on one count of first-degree murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied property stemming from the January murder of 21-year-old Jarrett Ledairis Garner.
Garner was shot while visiting with friends at a house on Colonel Warrick Drive. After an intense investigation, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for Todd in connection with Garner's death.
Mark Anthony Walker, 34, was indicted on four counts each of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods. Walker was also indicted on one count of armed robbery and second-degree kidnapping.
Walker, of Duffy Drive, was indicted stemming from an incident on June 19 when John Agner's law firm office on South William Street was broken into. The suspect, who authorities believe was Walker, stole about $750 in cash and checks.
Walker was also charged by Wayne County Sheriff's deputies with the June 22 break-in of a mobile home on the 3100 block of Central Heights Road, where the suspect is believed to have stolen a television, a video cassette recorder, a camera, shoes and a telephone.
Other indictments
The grand jury handed up 84 true bills of indictment during its September monthly meeting, including 20 indictments on illegal drug charges.
Twenty indictments were returned for such property crimes as burglary, breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods.
Nine people were indicted with fraud crimes, such as forgery, uttering, false pretense, larceny by employee and embezzlement.
Another eight were indicted on illegal weapons charges. One person was indicted for being an accessory after the fact to a felon and five people were indicted on various vehicular charges.
Also, three people were indicted on assault with a deadly weapon to inflict serious injury and there was one felony child abuse indictment. Other assault charges included two common law robbery indictments and one armed robbery indictment.
Nine people were indicted as habitual felons. If any are convicted, the sentence would be lengthened significantly.
The grand jury did not act on six bills during its September meeting.
