The focus will be on the role of the common soldier and will feature members of the 27th North Carolina Infantry re-enactment group. Musket firing demonstrations will be held at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. A blacksmith will be at work all day and period music will be performed from 2-3 p.m. A three-inch ordnance rifle, an artillery piece commonly used in the war, will be fired at 11:30 a.m. and again at 1:30 p.m.
