Truck stolen

A Goldsboro woman told police Tuesday that her $20,000 truck was stolen from the Berkeley Mall parking lot while she was inside shopping. Felicia Toy, of Somerset Drive, told officers that her red 2006 Dodge Ram was secured in the lot when it was stolen.

Employees at Big Brothers Management, Inc., called Goldsboro police when they noticed nearly $3,000 in damages outside the business on Oak Street. They said that someone damaged an air-conditioning unit outside the building and removed copper wire and other parts from it.

Investigations

These reports are being investigated by Wayne County law enforcement:

*Fidel Fuentes of LaGrange told Goldsboro police officers that he went into Walmart Tuesday to do some shopping. When he returned to the parking lot, he noticed damage to the front bumper of his truck. Fuentes estimates $500 in damages to the vehicle.

*Employees of Radio Shack, on Berkeley Boulevard, reported more than $400 in goods missing after completing an inventory of the store. Among the items missing were an Mp3 player, cordless phone, wireless video system and a phone recorder.

*Officials with Habitat for Humanity reported damage to one of their homes Tuesday. The home, located on Mulberry Street, had a broken door lock and damaged door frame, they told police.

*Tequilla Barrett of Oakbrook Street told police officers that someone gained access to her home by breaking the front door. More than $300 in jewelry was stolen, she said.

*Police responded Tuesday to a complaint from American Property Management. Employees said someone attempted to break into the building on Madison Avenue, inflicting damage on a window and two window screens.

*Sneakers stolen -- Demetrius Mayhue, of Maple Street, told police that someone broke into his house Tuesday and stole six pairs of sneakers valued at $100 per pair.
