Wondering what all the noise was all about today?
The roar that crossed through Goldsboro skies this morning might be back this afternoon.
Officials from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base said the F-15 E Strike Eagle Demonstration Team practiced this morning around 9:30 and were expected to hit the skies again this afternoon at 2.
During these times, city residents should expect to see the F-15 flying lower than normal and making more noise, Air Force officials said today.
The demo team, which includes Capt. Al Kennedy and weapons systems officer Capt. Jack Stallworth in the cockpit, is preparing for upcoming shows, including this fall's Wings Over Wayne Air Show.
Base officials say the team will practice periodically throughout the year.
