Summer camp for autistic children seeking donations

Kidz Dayz, a summer camp devoted to children with autism or other developmental disabilities, held a fund-raising yard sale Saturday to help defray the costs of the annual program.
The organization is a non-profit program designed to help autistic children ages 3-16 during the summer months, when cognitive, social and behavioral skills learned during the school year can regress.
Tuition covers only a third of the cost providing the services, which are held at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Camps are held weekly from late June through early August, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
The cost of running the camps include salaries for special education teachers and instructional assistants as well as instructional materials and supplies, rent, utilities and insurance.
Organizers and supporters of Kidz Dayz encourage the public to contribute to the program. Contributions are tax-deductible.
