Cliffs events Saturday, Sunday

Two events are scheduled for this weekend at the Cliffs of the Neuse State Park, a beginner canoe class on Saturday at 2 p.m. for children 8-14 and a presentation Sunday afternoon about identifying leaves and making a leaf print on a T-shirt.
The canoe class will be held in a controlled environment, and lifejackets will be provided. Participants should bring a hat, sunscreen and water. On Sunday at 2 p.m., park rangers will show how to put a leaf print on a white T-shirt. Attendees should bring a white T-shirt.
Classes are limited to 10 people and pre-registration is required. Information: 778-6234.
