Restaurant theft
An unknown person stole $515 in cash from La Flama Restaurant, located on the 700 block of Corporate Drive on Friday around 10 p.m. A La Flama employee, Salvado Abrego, told Goldsboro police officers that another employee, Alex Solis, was near the money after it was placed on a table by Abrego's mother. Abrego also told police officers Solis did not report to work on Saturday and Abrego has been unable to contact him. According to the report, there are no suspects.
Car thefts
*An unknown suspect opened an unlocked door of a gray, four-door 1991 Chevrolet Caprice as it was parked at the 1900 block of N. William St. and stole a black .22-caliber Walther handgun equipped with a laser sight Friday night between 11:30 p.m. and 1:45 a.m. Dimarci Davis, 25, of South Best Street told Goldsboro police officers his car was unlocked and an unknown suspect stole the firearm. The police do not have any suspects at this time and the investigation is still underway.
* The passenger side window of a red 1992 Mazda MX3 was broken Saturday morning between 12:10 and 12:35 and about $1,500 in property was stolen from the vehicle. Christopher Pinto, 23, of Hines Drive reported that his car was parked in a parking lot on the 2200 block of E. Ash St. and an unknown suspect broke the vehicle's passenger side window worth $120. The suspect stole a compact disc player worth $400 and an amp of the same value. A 12-inch speaker was also stolen from the vehicle.
Two cars damaged
Between 2:30 and 11:45 Saturday morning, an unknown suspect damaged the body and tires of two vehicles parked at residence on the 1400 block of Cuyler Best Road. Diane Hageman, 40, told the Goldsboro Police Department that an unknown person keyed two vehicles in front of her house and damaged the front left tires on each vehicle. A white 1995 Pontiac Grand Am was keyed on the right side of the car and trunk and the left front tire was punctured causing $575 in property damage. The suspect also punctured the front left tire and keyed the hood of a 2003 Mercedes SLK 300 parked in front of her house.
Car stolen
A white, four-door 1995 Chevrolet Blazer was stolen from a residence on the 100 block of S. Pineview Ave. between 4 and 4:30 a.m. Saturday. Gail Newby, 49, told Goldsboro police officers her daughter, Angel Ingram, 30, took the car and did not return. Ms. Ingram was described as 5-foot-4-inch black female, weighing 130 pounds with a thin build and a birthmark on her face.
Property stolen
An unknown suspect entered a home on the 200 block of Tonya Drive through a garage window and stole more than $1,000 in property between 6 and 10:50 p.m. Friday. Robert Earl Grant Jr., 34, told Goldsboro police officers the suspect stole a black 9 mm Glock valued at $600. The suspect also stole a silver Seiko kinetic watch, three T-shirts, three pairs of shoes and two checkbooks with a collective value of about $510.
