City resources director starts

A new City of Goldsboro human resources director began work Wednesday.
Pamela Leake, 35, replaced Rick Roberson, who left in December.
City Manager Joe Huffman said Mrs. Leake will be a benefit to the the city.
"It was clear to me in our discussions and the interviews that she has the personality to move this department in the right direction," City Manager Joe Huffman said.
Mrs. Leake received a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in business from North Carolina Central University. She has worked as an accountant, as an instructor at Halifax Community College and as an administrative assistant and administrator for the Weldon City public schools. Most recently, she was personnel director for Halifax Community College.
