Subway robbed

The Subway on NC-111 South was robbed Friday, according to a police report. An unknown culprit allegedly threw a rock through the store's front door to gain entry. Once inside, they stole $20 worth of food. Total damages were estimated at more than $400.

A report of injury to real property came in to Wayne County law enforcement officials Friday when someone pushed in the rear wall of St. Paul Amezion Church.

Church officials said the building's rear brick wall was pushed in, causing damage to the other walls. The estimated damage totaled $15,000. Law enforcement agents have found no cause for the incident yet.
