Debra Curl, a student at Wayne Community College, has been included in the 29th annual edition of The National Dean's List 2005/2006.

The list recognizes gifted students selected by their educational institutions. Only one-half of 1 percent of all U.S. college students receive this award.

The listing also earned Ms. Curl a nomination to serve as a collegiate scholar in the 2006 International Scholar Laureate Program Delegation on Business to Australia, Central and Eastern Europe or China.

She is a member and former officer of the Upsilon Chi Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and the WCC International Students Club. She has been published in the 2004 and 2005 editions of the college's literary and art magazine, received its essay award in 2005, and was named to Who's Who Among Wayne Community College Students.

Ms. Curl will graduate from this spring and attend East Carolina University.
