Wayne Community College students now can register online for continuing education courses by using the college's Web site.

School officials said the students previously had to go to the campus to enroll in a class at the Continuing Education office.

Detailed instructions for both new and returning students and information about the course offerings are available at www.waynecc.edu. Once at the site, click the "Campus Cruiser" link at the top of the page and then the "Continuing Ed" tab. Choose the new or returning student options on the left side of the page. If anyone has problems with the process, they can call 735-5151.

The new system accepts MasterCard and both Visa credit and debit. The college has taken precautions to secure its site and uses VeriSign to ensure secure online credit card payment processing.

A number of short Continuing Education courses begin throughout March and April.
