Industrial park plat approved

PRINCETON -- The Princeton town board has approved a final plat for the second phase of the proposed Princeton Commons industrial park, but not without some discussion.
Commissioner Billy Sutton said a 15-inch water line might not be big enough to handle the 11 lots on Commercial Drive, a cul-de-sac that runs off West Dr. Donnie Jones Boulevard. But Marshall Price, the chairman of the town Planning Board, said the town's zoning advisor had approved it.
Town Clerk Marla Ashworth said water and sewer was a separate issue from the plat. She noted that the developer had posted a line of credit to install water and sewer, streets and curbs and gutters.
In other business, the town board:
*Tabled action on moratoriums for water and sewer extension in newly annexed areas and zoning permits until a special meeting March 20.
*Put off action until April 3 on a request by the Princeton Masonic Lodge to inscribe the cornerstone at the new Town Hall.
