These cases have been heard in Wayne County Superior Court:
*Gerald Patrick Lee, 32, South Slocumb Street, breaking and entering, 101 to 131 months (habitual felon).
*Tiszon Olajuwon Evans, 19, U.S. 13 South, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, 16 to 20 months; breaking and entering, nine to 11 months.
*Jerome Donald Ceasar, 32, Goldsboro, breaking and entering, nine to 11 months.
*Montrell Allen, 31, North Georgia Avenue, possession of stolen goods, eight to 10 months suspended, 36 months supervised probation (six months intensive probation), $6,458.77 restitution and costs; breaking and entering, eight to 10 months suspended and 36 months supervised probation.
*Mitchell Allen Daniels, 29, Wayne Memorial Drive, possession of a stolen firearm, eight to 10 months, 36 months supervised probation (six months intensive probation), 50 hours community service and costs and costs; possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, six to eight months suspended and 36 months supervised probation.
*Gary Lamont Greene Jr., 21, Norwayne School Road, Fremont, conspiracy to sell marijuana, six to eight months suspended, 24 months supervised probation and costs.
*Donte Gevon Davis, 22, Pecan Road, Dudley, breaking and entering, eight to 10 months suspended, 36 months supervised probation (six months intensive probation), 50 hours community service, $390 lawyer's fee, $252.99 restitution and costs.
*Karee Maurice Smith, 22, LaGrange Road, LaGrange, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, 16 to 20 months suspended, 36 months supervised probation (six months intensive probation), 96 hours community service and costs.
*Christopher Scott, 26, Cuyler Best Road, assault, costs.
Assault
Goldsboro police charged Darrell Braswell, 35, of Poplar Street, with assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer. The arrest followed a report Friday afternoon filed by the Sears store at 703 N. Berkeley Blvd., Goldsboro.
Store employees reported a misdemeanor larceny of three pair of jeans. The reporting person said a man left the store with the jeans without paying for them. An officer confronted a man in the parking lot, and the report said the man pulled a knife on the officer. A chase ensued, and the man reportedly threw the knife under a car when the police care pulled up.
The jeans, valued at a total of $89.97, were recovered. Bond was set at $50,000.
Embezzlement
Goldsboro police have made two arrests in connection with a larceny reported in November from the Subway Restaurant on West Grantham Street.
Patsy Ann Parks of Running Deer Circle, Dudley, and Tomekia Delores Tyson of Canal Street, Goldsboro, were both charged with embezzlement. Both women were placed under $1,000 bond.
Parking lot mishap
David Martin of Lynn Avenue told Goldsboro police his foot got caught up in the pedal while he was pulling the car around to help his wife load groceries, and he bumped the cart and knocked her down.
The couple had just finished shopping around 2:50 p.m. Friday at the Food Lion store at 219 N.C. 111 S. His wife, Barbara, was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released. No charge was filed.
Dog blamed
Marlow Tate of Adams Street said his dog crawled onto his lap and caused him to swerve to the right while driving down Olivia Lane Friday afternoon. The 1997 Cadillac he was driving bumped into a parked car, and that car bumped into the rear of another car.
The Cadillac sustained $3,500 damage. The first parked car, a 2002 Chevrolet owned by Marsha Linton of Virginia Beach, sustained $5,000 damage. The second parked car, a 1999 Ford owned by Jeanne Rhone of Olivia Lane, sustained $500 damage.
Tate was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Robbed at pen point
Kelton Reid Sutton of Walters Drive told Goldsboro police that at 2:30 a.m. Friday a man wearing a red jacket and red shirt used an ink pen as a weapon and forcefully took $5 from his pants pocket. He said the robbery occurred at a hotel at 801 E. U.S. 70. He said about four hours later the same man went to his room and beat on the door. Police arrived and charged Donnie Cox, 19, of Wayne Memorial Drive, with common law robbery and communicating threats. Bond was set at $5,000.
Gift card theft
The Target store at 1204 Sunburst Dr. reported larceny by an employee Friday afternoon. A store spokesman said an employee stole a $15 gift card and used the card to purchase items. Police charged Timetria Sharmaine Arrington, 18, of Robin Lake Drive, Dudley, with larceny by employee. Bond was set at $1,000.
Crimes
The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating the following crimes:
*A Goldsboro man said he was beaten in the parking lot of a bar at 2215 E. Ash St. around 2 a.m. Saturday. Christopher William Hovey of Cannon Avenue said three men he does not know hit him in the face and head several times.
*Markita Mumford of Whitted Circle said shortly after midnight Saturday her ex-boyfriend did about $1,325 worth of damage to six windows on her 1995 Pontiac Grand Am and tried to kick in both the front and back doors to her mother's home. She said he then yelled threats. No arrest was made.
*Somebody reportedly stole three Ford engines from Deacon Jones at 1014 Eleventh St. Employees reported the theft Friday. Two gasoline engines and a diesel engine were missing, all valued at $9,000, from beside and behind the Service Department.
*Goldsboro Housing Authority reported five storage buildings broken into on Holly Street. Damage to the doors came to $750. Missing items of unknown value included two televisions, a VCR, a DVD player and a microwave.
*Police recovered a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder reported stolen from A to Z Auto Sales on Smith Street in Princeton. The vehicle was recovered in the 1300 block of West Grantham Street after it was involved in an accident. Linwood Ray Boykin Jr., 21, of Talbert Drive, was charged with possession of stolen goods, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and maintaining a dwelling. Bond was set at $28,300. He was also charged with fictitious registration plate, larceny, breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating the following crimes:
*A $10,000 racing four-wheeler was reported stolen Friday from the home of Larry Keith Lane of Kelvin Lane. He said the Yamaha Banshee was custom built and kept in an open, enclosed trailer. He said it was last secured at 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Somebody pushed it across a field, and it appeared they loaded it onto a vehicle at the ball field across from Grantham School.
Lane said he received a phone call from an unknown man Saturday saying the four-wheeler was in the woods at the intersection of Durham Lake and Landfill Roads. He found it dismantled and burned. A finger print was lifted from the handle bars.
*Vandals broke into the home of Willie Ray Benton on Linen Lane and did $355 worth in damage. Benton said he returned home Friday afternoon and found the window shattered and blinds broken on the floor. Most of the furniture was turned over in every room. The fire extinguisher was emptied inside the house.
*Thieves broke into the Second Fling at 2467 U.S. 70 West some time after 5:30 p.m. Thursday and took $696 in cash. An employee reported the break-in after going to count the money Friday morning and finding it missing. The report said there was no sign of forced entry.
