MOUNT OLIVE -- Scott Bircher, a contempary Christian singer, will perform in Rodgers Chapel at Mount Olive College on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 7:30 p.m. The performance, co-sponsored by the campus Activity Board and Big Coffee, is free and open to the public.

A native of Vanceboro, Bircher graduated from MOC with a degree in sports management. At the age of 20, he joined several MOC graduates to form a local gospel group. He later accepted a full-time singing position in a Christian music trio. From 1996-98, he traveled around the U.S. ministering in worship services as part of the Gaither Video Series.

Recently, he recorded, "All of My Love," in Nashville with the help of several recording artists and musicians, including The Celebration of Life Choir from Nashville, which is featured on the title cut. His CDs will be available during his performance at MOC and in the college bookstore.

Bircher said he is looking forward to returning to his alma mater for the concert.

"Mount Olive College will always have a special place in my heart," he said.
