Officers to be installed at firemen's banquet

New officers of the Wayne County Firemen's Association and its auxiliary will be installed Tuesday night during the group's annual banquet meeting at Lane Tree Golf Club.
The annual G. Edgar Summerlin Award will be presented to the fireman of the year. The auxiliary member of the year also will be recognized.
The keynote speaker will be introduced by Mar Mac Fire Chief Bill Harrell.
Danielle Rose, the reigning Fire Princess, will perform.
Perfect attendance awards and relief fund checks will be presented.
Assistant Clerk of Court Pam Minshew will install the new officers. Outgoing association president Phil Shiver will chair the meeting.
Other officers are Steve Bryan, vice president; Curtis Stafford, secretary-treasurer, and Mike Aycock, chaplain.
