Holiday garbage collection schedules

Some city services will be operating on a holiday schedule next week, as officials and residents observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
As the city observes the holiday, trash pick-up will be affected. All sanitation collections services scheduled for Monday have been changed to Wednesday, Jan. 18.
In the county, Waste Industries will be closed Monday and collection schedules for Wayne County and Mount Olive will be delayed one day until Friday, when the regular schedule will resume.
