Kenly man charged with explosives

The manager of Pure Power ATV shop in Kenly was charged with possession of a weapon of mass destruction after Johnston County Sheriff's deputies searched the business.
"One of our deputies said an informant told him that they had some C-4 explosives" at the store, said Tammy Amaon, a spokesman for the Johnston County Sheriff's Department.

William Brian Austin, 35, is being held at Johnston County Jail on $40,000 bond. Deputies found two sticks of water gel explosives, valued at $100 each, at the store.
Austin is also being held on charges of simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Austin told deputies he was holding the explosives for another person. The case is still under investigation.
