Head Start applications being accepted

WAGES is accepting applications to the Head Start and Early Head Start programs at several locations in the county beginning in January.
Applications will be taken on Tuesdays, from Jan. 10 through May 30, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
In Goldsboro, applications will be accepted at the Royall Avenue Center at 601 E. Royall Ave.; at the Royall West Center at 507 E. Royall Ave.; and at the Chestnut Center at 505 E. Chestnut St. In Pikeville, applications will be accepted at the center on Smith Street, and in Mount Olive at the Carver Center at 612 S. Breazeale Ave.
Applications will not be accepted without all necessary documents, which include the child's birth certificate, Social Security cards for parent and child (if applicable), income verification, child's immunization records and most current physical, signed by physician, the child's current Medicaid card or private insurance information and parent's insurance information if child is under 3 years old, verification if child has special needs, and if applicable, food stamp verification letter and identification number.
